Seafloor Science & ROV Camp
is a hands-on, STEM oriented day camp that centers on underwater robotics, seafloor habitats, sensors, and more!
Students discover the exciting field of ocean exploration from scientific technical and environmental perspectives.
Campers are challenged from the start with activities employing teamwork and creative problem solving.
Seafloor Science & ROV Camp offers one-week-long STEM summer day camps for two age groups:
Children ages 8 – 10 (entering grades 3 – 5),
children ages 11 – 14 (entering grades 6 -9),
SS-ROV Camp offers hands-on activities related to deep-sea exploration ranging from rovers, underwater ROVs, sensors, plankton, sonars, scientific drilling, marine geology and more. As ocean explorers, campers will engage in teamwork activities that develop leadership skills, cultivate creative solutions to technical challenges and tap into a range of career possibilities, all while discovering our fascinating underwater world.
Professional Development:
Presentation skills, teamwork and collaboration.
Creative Development:
Formulating questions, creative problem-solving.
Career Perspective:
The knowledge and confidence that they can rise to technical and scientific challenges, what’s beyond their home base, and about ocean science careers.
My favorite type of under-water vehicle is an AUV because you control it by programming it!

We recognize the need for STEM-based programs that promote problem-solving skills and teamwork through hands-on activities.
Within the marine science realm, there is an increased demand for technology-savvy professionals who can communicate with scientists – and scientists who are educated in the technology used for their research.
Bridging these fields allows for more effective collaboration and better research outcomes.
the path to attaining economic stability in the future begins with STEM education in childhood.
